Refugees, as do other migrants, bring with them a wealth of experiences, skills and talents that make them very valuable to European labour markets.

In this publication the International Organization for Migration (IOM) presents personal stories and experiences in nine countries of origin with the project Temporary Return of Qualified Nationals (TRQN).

People have always crossed borders in search of a better life. Aspirations and dreams, however, do not always come true. For some migrants, returning home is a logical, viable and desirable option.

Recognition of the linkages between migration and development is increasing. The positive contribution migrants make to society is visible worldwide but certainly in the Netherlands.
